I've been working on a commission for friends Thommy and Theresa - they will be giving it as a wedding prezzie.  The guide lines are; four small dinner plates and four bowls, for everyday use, speckled clay, clear glaze inside, no glaze outside.
I'm almost there - having thrown, trimmed, fired, and sanded the above  plus extras to allow for muck-ups and inconsistencies (8 plates and 6 bowls, as getting things all the same is not my forte).

There is a "Masterclass" at Northcote Pottery this Saturday with Phil Elson -  and the topic is glazing.  It should be a whole lot of nerdyfun - any Saturday workshop where you are meant to bring a dust-mask, scales, and a calculator has got to be fun, right?!
